New journal makes right Connections

DUBAI — With new approaches in the field of education, teachers need to be connected. Keeping this in mind, educational leaders and classroom teachers from across the UAE came to Mariya Al Qubtiya Secondary School, Dubai for launch of the first issue of Classroom Connections, the HCT Education Journal which was officially launched by Dr Jamal Al Muhairi, Deputy Minister (Under Secretary) of Education.

"Classroom Connections is a significant development in the continuing role of HCT's partnership with the school system," said Dr Al Muhairi at the launch. A twice-yearly publication for practicing teachers and educators in UAE Schools, Classroom Connections is designed to help teachers take an active role in meeting the challenges of education in the UAE of the 21st century.

"Traditional teaching approaches are being challenged by the introduction of new learning methodologies and technologies," said Dr Beverly Simone, Director of HCT's Academic & Quality Directorate. Each issue of the journal revolves around a theme critically related to promoting effective teaching and learning in the UAE.
