Rod Leffler, director of food and beverage at Emirates Palace, said that none of the hotel’s restaurants will be doing any special promotions for Eid.
“From the food and beverage point of view, we are not having anything special as there is already a high demand for the present outlets in general.”
However, the hotel is extending its Ramadan promotions for its rooms into the Eid period as well.
Up to October 28, UAE and GCC residents only can book rooms and avail of various discounts on the condition that the booking is for a minimum of two nights and there should be at least two adults and a child below 12 years of age.
Other big hotels like Sheraton, Hilton, Meridian, Rotana Beach and Al Diar Group also said that their special offers and promotions will end with the Ramadan and no other promotions will be offered for Eid.
Some of the most popular hotel resorts in the emirate are already fully booked. Standard rooms at both Jebel Dhanna Resort (Dh638 for a double room per night) and Liwa Hotel (Dh406 for a double per night) won’t be available till October 26. The resorts are also holding no Eid promotions this year.
One of the few exceptions is the Millennium Hotel here. According to Adnan Dayoub, food and beverage manager at Millennium, the hotel is preparing a few special buffets and entertainment programmes. “The special atmosphere will start from the lobby itself, with live performance on harp by Petia,” said Dayoub.
