Mohammed, Mubarak discuss ties

ABU DHABI — General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Egyptian President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak have discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and Egypt.

The leaders also discussed ways to further promote the ties as well as coordination on regional and international issues.

Discussions took place at a meeting at Emirates Palace Hotel, Abu Dhabi.

Welcoming President Mubarak, Gen. Shaikh Mohammed described relations with Egypt as outstanding and a model for brotherly relations established on strong foundations of mutual understanding and amicability.

Later, Hosni Mubarak left UAE after the fraternal visit. —
