Dubai: 'Donate and Feel Rewarded' this Ramadan at Mercato, an initiative that encourages shoppers to donate previously loved items and non perishable food to the less fortunate in the community.
The campaign was launched on Wednesday, June 17, by the famous Emirati designer, Eman Al Flamrzi, who initiated the first donation to encourage the community to participate in this important initiative. She emphasized the importance of contributing to this campaign and the role of this campaign in spreading the spirit of giving.
Donors will be given a complimentary discount card from the following participating restaurants and Cafes in Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah: (Milk & Honey, Taste Kitchen, Noon O Kabab, Cinnabon & Sumo Sushi) to use for Iftar and Sohoor.
The donation box has been placed on the ground floor of Mercato. All donations will be distributed to the needy families by Emirates Red Crescent.
What's more, Mercato will host an Islamic Arts Exhibition and Abaya Exhibition by renowned UAE designers on the second week of Ramadan for 5 days.
Mercato will also be organise interactive children's workshops for the little ones from 5pm until 9pm every day during Ramadan, courtesy of Jumeirah International Nurseries giving your little ones the opportunity to enjoy a variety of arts and crafts.
