Defence counsel Ali Al Shamsi cross-examined the witness who said that he only remembered that on the day of the incident the three brothers had asked his companion about some photos.
He could not recall what happened later as he had lost consciousness.
The companion, an Emirati student, is accused of defamation after he reportedly threatened to post the photographs of the accused policemen’s sister on the Internet, if she declined his moves. He also alleged in the court on Tuesday that the three policemen had assaulted him.
The three policemen brothers denied in earlier hearings the charges of attempted murder and assault.
One of them, aged 22, pleaded not guilty against the charge of throwing a chair on the windshield of the student’s car and destroying it during the fight in Al Baraha area.
The student also denied that he threatened to post the policemen’s sister’s photograph over the Internet.
