Emirates NBD launched the region’s first Instagram exhibition -of photos taken using online photo-sharing website Instagram- this week with 41 selected images to commemorate the UAE’s 41st National Day, reached on December 2.

The competition was open to all Instagram users, who were able to submit original photos showing the festive spirit of the UAE. The social media-friendly competition allowed entries to be submitted via Twitter or Instagram from November 29 till December 8. The two-week exhibition is being held at Emirates NBD headquarters in Deira, with a judging panel of experts to deliberate on the exhibited shots, with the top three entries to be given hi-tech Fujifilm cameras.

Forty one entries, celebrating 41 years of the UAE, were selected for participation in the exhibition began on December 16. The competition will be evaluated by a panel, which includes judges selected by Fujifilm Middle East and an Emirates NBD representative. The bank’s group marketing and branding deputy head Saif Al Mansoori said the bank was honoured to launch the first ever Instagram competition and exhibition in the region.

“Showcasing the festive spirit in the country through social media platforms, this exhibition is truly representative of the youthful population of the UAE, that is both tech-savvy, while at the same time retaining its deep-rooted culture and tradition.”
