The celebrations will be organised from 5pm to 9pm on all three days of Eid holidays.
These will include ayola shows involving traditional Emirati singing and dancing and traditional cooking, which will be done on coal fire in tents or old style palm tree houses.
Visitors will be welcomed to both watch and taste these sweets and breads, which will be offered free of charge. Arabic coffee and dates, an important symbol Gulf hospitality, will also be offered to guests.
In the women's tent, there will be a display of traditional textiles, mainly of Bedouin origin, made locally by the Emirati ladies, with some demonstrations being available during the festival. The newly remade craft shops will also offer demonstrations as well as sales of various heritage related items — knives, coffee pots, traditional dresses or photography and history albums.
Children will also have fun as the Village is setting up for the first time this year, a malbsahoony — a plastic, balloon like pool, smeared with soapy material, where kids can go and play.
