Shaikh Hasher said: “This show comes at a time Dubai has completed most of its world-class infrastructure across diverse sectors. The Al Fares show has registered an increase of 15 percent compared to the previous edition, with more than 200 companies from 25 countries taking part. Dubai is on par with advanced countries in terms of hosting world class events. The import of equestrian products is growing year after year”.
The total annual import of equine products and equipments crossed AED 1 billion in 2009, according to Al Fajer Information and Services, organizers of Al Fares.
Satish Khanna, General Manager, Al Fajer Information and Services added: “International companies have realised the significance of the equine industry in the GCC. UAE customers are distinguished by great purchasing power that is three times that of their European counterparts on equine products. Al Fares is growing year after year because more international companies, especially from Germany, UK, France, Italy, Australia and the USA are foraying into the UAE”.
The show comes at a time when races are increasing, including endurance, flat races and show jumping. Also, there are a variety of private and public clubs in the UAE.
Al Fares remains as a leading trade platform to do business and capitalize on the booming regional market for equestrian products. Among the major participants are global players in the equestrian trade market from Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland the US and the UK.
A release said that the UAE has the single largest contingent with 40 companies taking part. Collectively, these companies represent over 100 brands from across the world and the major Local exhibitors include Al Awani, Gulf Rider, Al Sakeb, Lilidale, Asaafinat, Lock Stock, Belhasa Projects, Bonjour, Gulf Drug Est and Al Atheer.
Al Fares Dubai 2010 is highlighting new products and services for horses and riders. The expo will see horse owners, trainers, chiefs of the equine industry, renowned jockeys, polo professionals and horse lovers from across the world converging on Dubai to participate in the fair.
