Two of them drowned in Wadi Fanja in the Dhakhliya region, while the other two died in a head-on collision between two vehicles in poor visibility in Nizwa, also in the Dhakhliya.

In Muscat, water gushing from the Ghizlan wadi in the low-lying district of Al Amerat swept away seven vehicles, ROP said, adding that one of them carrying two women and a child was towed to safety. Also in Al Amerat, an expatriate woman and two men trapped in swirls of water were rescued by policemen. Two people were rescued in the Dhahirah region, while a third person was reported missing in Dhank.

Passengers of three vehicles that were washed away by overflowing water from Wadi Al Ansab in the wilayat of Baushar, Muscat governorate, were taken to safety by ROP personnel.

In Azaiba and Nakhl, several trees and electric posts were uprooted, while power outages were reported from several areas in the capital.
