Have you always wondered what it was like to come aboard RMS Titanic - one of the most luxurious ships to ever grace the seas? Yes. Well, then here is a piece of news that will leave you thrilled.
The Titanic II - a replica of the original - is set to make its two-week maiden voyage from Dubai in four years' time, letting tourists and residents enjoy its splendour and opulence.
According to Lonely Planet, the Titanic II will kick off its journey from Dubai and dock at Southampton in the UK in 2022. After that, it will take voyages between England and the US - first during summer and then, around the world for the rest of the year.
Being a modern cruise liner, the Titanic II will be equipped with 21st century tech as well as the latest navigation and safety systems. Of course, it goes without saying that it will be just as luxurious as the original.
Titanic II was first announced in 2012 but it faced financial problems as a result of which the shipbuilding was halted. Now, the issues have been resolved and the shipbuilding has resumed. When completed, the Titanic II will be able to accommodate 2,400 passengers and 900 crew members. It will boast of the same luxurious interiors and cabin layout as the original RMS Titanic.
