Jaishree Ramachandran, Marketing Manager for Dubai and the Northern Emirates of Air India (AI), said that the more than 200 passengers, who were delayed in Mumbai, were shifted to flights AI717 and AI727, which arrived in Dubai at 7pm and 8:40pm respectively.

A media source had reported that the passengers of the AI727 flight "were stranded at the Mumbai airport at 3:30am" (2am Dubai time) yesterday. After nearly 14 hours of delay, some AI passengers allegedly staged a protest at the airport by blocking other outbound passengers from boarding their planes, the report added.
