The event offers a range of activities for everyone and includes games, competitions, food, hobbies and craft. It has become a major talking point for families looking to end their summer holiday on a high note and organisers are upbeat about the interest from visitors.

DSS Summer Family Fiesta will run from August 22 to 26 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DIFC). he Fiesta is attracting interest from all over the GCC with three distinct events: the Summer Food Festival, the Recreation and Games Festival and the Hobbies and Crafts Festival.

The Summer Food Festival will host stalls serving a tantalising range of Emirati delicacies as well as sweets and confectionaries. Among the highlights will be a live fruit and vegetable carving demonstration and the first-ever Barista Coffee Competition, designed to discover the best cup of coffee in the UAE!

The Recreation & Games Festival is an ideal distraction for children, incorporating an Electronic Gaming Hub with the latest exciting computer action as well as a range of gripping sporting competitions including basketball, table tennis and soap soccer. For people looking for more artistic pursuits this summer, the Hobbies and Crafts Festival will showcase the diversity and creativity of Middle Eastern arts and crafts, providing a fascinating insight into pottery, painting and weaving.

Children's City, Flying Elephant and Foton Edutainment will run workshops throughout the Fiesta for children of all age groups, to provide them with an introduction to the arts and uncover hidden talents in participants.

Visitors can expect delicious local cuisine, exciting entertainment options, traditional and contemporary handicrafts, fun activities and demonstrations during the five-day Fiesta. Damas, Wild Wadi, Grand Cinemas and Round Table Pizza are offering mega prizes.
