Today's date is a rare, once-in-a-century event, social media sleuths have discovered. In a message that is widely circulating on social media, February 2, 2020 is called a palindromic date, an occurrence that only happens once every 100 years.
What means is that when read in the month/day/year format, the date will read the same forwards and backwards. This will be the same for everyone wherever they are in the world - and this is the one and only occurrence this century.
"The last time it happened was 909 years ago, on 11/11/1111 (that was the rarest kind)," the message said.
Additionally, the message also said that the next palindromic date will be one 12/12/2121.
