Company may call upon a worker to do another task only in cases of emergency or to rectify the work assigned to an employee
A 46-year-old American visitor has been accused of offering bribe to public employees at the Dubai International Airport (DIA) on December 10 last year.
A police major, who was present at the time of the incident, stated, "I was on duty at the DIA and I was surprised to hear a man (the defendant) utter bad words for the staff of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority. Apparently, he was angry because he was being searched."
"Because of his behaviour, the defendant was referred to an office at the General Department of the Airport Security. There he tried to bribe the police and Customs inspectors in order to seek his release and ensure that no legal action was taken against him."
