The woman allegedly strangled the infant boy after severing the umbilical cord with her hands before dumping him in a waste bin and fled the country, Khaleej Times reported on Sunday.
The police has taken the necessary legal action to extradite the woman who will be charged with premeditated murder. The police, however, did not comment on the modalities, saying it was too early to talk about it.
The woman apparently left the country within few minutes after committing the crime. The police suspect that the woman got pregnant illegally which might have prompted her to get rid of the newborn.
The body of the child has been referred to the General Department of Forensic Medicine.
An Indian woman cleaner, who was informed by a woman passenger about a pool of blood in the washroom, found the baby and informed the police.
The janitor got suspicious when she found traces of blood leading to a trash bin inside the washroom.
When she emptied the trash bin she found a tightly wrapped plastic bag containing the baby soaked in blood, who was gasping for breath.
It was obvious that the woman had snapped the umbilical cord forcefully, strangled the boy with a cloth and tied him up with the umbilical cord.
Efforts by the rescue team and volunteers failed to revive the child.
