DUBAI— Nearly 240 public school students in Dubai spent the last one month learning English, the formal and fun way, from Oxford and Cambridge graduates. Aged between 12 and 14, the girls and boys had four hours of tuition every day including an hour of fun, games and quizzes to improve their use of the English language.

Fourteen volunteers from Oxbridge Summer Camps Abroad (OSCA) taught the children speaking, listening and writing skills at four camps based in schools including Al Nukhba and Al Safaa for boys, and Al Ibdaa and Al Qiyam for girls.

This is the first OSCA to come to Dubai and was organised by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority. All of the students were awarded with certificates at the end of the four-week course.
