Information technology firms based in the United Arab Emirates hired 14 engineers from Pakistan this week.
The youngsters were hired at the first-ever job fair half under the Talent Development Programme on Monday, Tribune reported.
The job fair in Islamabad was organised by Huawei ICT Academy Pakistan in collaboration with Huawei Middle East.
More engineers from Pakistan will be selected to work in other Gulf countries like Bahrain, Oman among others.
The 14 youngsters were selected among over 150 candidates who were interviewed for technical jobs in the UAE.
Representatives of UAE-based firms told Tribune that they had shortlisted more candidates from Pakistan for future projects in the UAE.
