A first-of-its kind fire protection system has been launched in Sharjah. For a quick response to fire accidents, Sharjah Civil Defence launched 11 patrols to carry out inspection on violating establishments in industrial areas.
Lt.Col, Sami Al Naqbi Director General of Sharjah Civil Defence, said that the 11 patrols are equipped with advanced firefighting equipment, such as extinguishers, hose reels and water tanks. The patrols will be operated by two well trained fire fighters.
The sophisticated fire protection patrols would play great role in minimising damage to properties and reducing loss of lives in the emirate.
The fire fighters will spread awareness among the public about importance of following safety rules and procedures to prevent fire.
The patrols also will detect dangerous practices that cause fire as general and instruct public to fix it in order to prevent fire.
