100 attend arthritis support session
DUBAI — The third and final session of the three-week Arthritis Support Programme ended here yesterday with more than 100 people attending the programme.
The event, which took place at Fairmont Hotel, Dubai, was conducted by the Emirates Arthritis Foundation (EAF), supported by Dubai Bone and Joint Centre and sponsored by Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.
The seminar included a demonstration by Wassim Labban, a physiotherapist from Rashid Hospital. Also present were Dr Humeira Badsha, rheumatologist, Dubai Bone and Joint Centre, and Dr Ayman Mofti, arthritis and rheumatism specialist, American Hospital Dubai — both members of the EAF Scientific Committee — to answer questions regarding the modalities of different treatment options in order to help patients take informed decisions.
