10 injured as cylinders explode in gas factory
RAS AL KHAIMAH — At least 10 workers suffered serious and moderate injuries when some gas cylinders exploded in a gas factory around 6.45pm on Wednesday in Khoir Al Khoir area of Ras Al Khaimah.
A source who preferred anonymity said the gas cylinders exploded apparently due to the high temperature inside the storage place. Most of the workers in the factory were Indians.
The injured were sent to Saqr Government Hospital for treatment.
Civil Defence who had rushed to the scene managed to contain the fire it could spread to other areas.
