A high-speed police chase in the wee hours Wednesday, in San Diego County, California, ended after the hurtling car fleeing from cops, crashed in the swimming pool in the backyard of a home.
The San Diego County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a 911 call about 4:00 am Wednesday, reporting two cars driving recklessly. When cops attempted to stop the speeding cars, both the vehicles sped off from the scene following which a dramatic pursuit began.
But citing safety concerns, deputies called off the chase before one of the cars crashed into the backyard swimming pool of a home, the sheriff's office said.
A photo shows the fleeing car submerged in the swimming pool, while its driver is at large, reported UPI.
