Luis Jimenez volleyed home the winner five minutes from time to put the final touch on Al Nasr's sterling comeback against Emirates Club here at Al Maktoum Stadium.
Ivan Jovanovic's Blue Wave side found themselves trailing to Haidar Al Ali's 41st-minute opener at the break late on Friday evening.
But, they equalised through their Chilean-Palestinian midfielder on the hour mark and he went on to clinch a slender victory thereafter.
Chances were few and far between in the opening exchanges and it was midway through the first half before either team had a notable attempt at goal; Emirates' Colombian forward Wilmar Jordan drawing a sharp, smart stop out of Ahmad Shambieh in Nasr's goal.
The ever-lively Jonathan Pitroipa, who appears to have already struck up a good understanding with Wilmar, came close to breaking the deadlock six minutes prior to the interval. His goal-bound effort was kept out by Ahmad Al Shaji's fingertip save.
Nasr must have been cursing their luck and that lingering sense of misfortune heightened just two minutes later as the Falcons flew down the other end to snatch the lead at half-time.
Rodrigo Pimpao's shot was parried by Shambieh straight into the path of Ali, who clinically tucked away the rebound for Emirates Club.
Nasr pressed for a leveller in the second period and Jovanovic brought on their new signing from Al Ain, Jires Kembo Ekoko, with a third of the match left to assist in that search.
He made an immediate impression on proceedings too, with his first touch being a crisp drive that Al Shaji could only spill out to a well-placed Jimenez for 1-1.
The very same player then smashed in Mahmoud Khamis' corner first time to seal this turnaround success in the dying embers of this encounter.
Nasr's result, allied with Al Wasl's 2-1 triumph over 10-man Al Jazira in the national capital, means that every Dubai-based club emerged from their opening-round fixtures with a 100 per cent record.
Al Shabab also edged out Sharjah by an identical scoreline that saw both sides reduced to 10 men, whereas Al Ahli absolutely annihilated Fujairah 8-1 on Wednesday.
