As Dubai prepares to wave goodbye to the summer months and welcome back the residents, Football Academy prepares to start multiple programmes.
The Spanish Soccer Schools (SSS) will officially start the season on September 4. In addition to their training programmes for under-10s, under-12s, under-14s, and under-16-year-olds, teenagers under-18 who wish to develop their skills will be able to do so before moving on to undergraduate studies.
Alongside the SSS, the Spanish Soccer Kids (SSK) programme, also returning on September 4, has now been expanded to cater for children from four and half years old right the way through to children aged 8.
Spanish Soccer School also recently entered into a partnership with neighbouring Victory Heights Primary School which will allow more children in the local primary children to get active this season, in a fun-friendly environment. Through the partnership, SSS will outline an education and training programme for primary school-aged students who be coached both on-campus as well as at the Football Academy itself.
Dubai Sports City President Khalid Al Zarooni said, "Here at Dubai Sports City we want to encourage as many people, whatever their age and ability, to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. The expansion of our Spanish Soccer School programme combined with our new initiative with Victory Heights Primary School really demonstrates we are making that possible. We are very much looking forward to welcoming the next generation of footballers to Spanish Soccer School this season."
Speaking about the season ahead, Football Academy's Director and Real Madrid legend, Michel Salgado, said: "This season is our fourth, and we feel that it's going to be particularly big for us. The number of new children that will be experiencing the joy of football has grown as we have expanded our age groups which will make this one of the most dynamic years in the Spanish Soccer School history. It certainly promises to be one of the most fun and exciting years for both the kids and the coaches. Personally, I can't want to see them training on the pitch again."
