The Ras Al Khaimah misdemeanour court heard a case in which an Asian expatriate posed as a photographer and siphoned off Dh3,000 for videotaping the wedding of the victim.
To set the deal, the plaintiff agreed to pay Dh3,000 to the fraudster as a deposit of the entire Dh17,000 charges. Later, when the victim tried to reach the suspect for deciding the final preparations for his wedding, he was not to be found anywhere.
The Pakistani man then lodged a complaint with the RAK Police.
