Singaporean tourist, Lon Lee Alee, was attacked by a Komodo dragon in Indonesia yesterday.
The 50-year-old tourist from Singapore was severely injured after the Komodo dragon bite on his left leg at Komodo National Park.
Apparently, he went too close to the animals to capture their pictures as they were eating pigs and goats belonging to the villagers. Locals had warned him not to go too close to the dragon but he ignored.
"He must have been too close. A Komodo doesn't like to be disturbed when eating," Sudiyono, the park's head was quoted in The Jakarta Post.
He was immediately helped and pulled away from the Komodos and rushed him to the nearby medical center where he received first aid.He was then shifted to the Siloam General Hospital on a military speed boat.
"This is the first incident of a human being bitten by a Komodo dragon in the past five years," Sudiyono was quoted by the paper.
