WATCH: Famous rapper's phone explodes in his face

CCTV footage taken from rapper Cee Lo Green's recording studio shows the rapper appearing to be injured after his mobile phone exploded in his face, the Mirror reports.
The rapper is famous for his single "Forget You" which hit number 1 in the UK and Netherlands' Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at number 2 in the US iteration of the same charts. He is also a multi-awarded artist having 5 Grammy Awards, a BET Award, a Billboard Award and a Brit Award.
In the CCTV footage that has been making rounds of the Internet, the singer is seen working in his studio when he got a call on his phone. He picked up the call and minutes after the phone exploded in his face which caused the artist to fall on the floor unconscious.

It is not confirmed whether he was using a Samsung or and iPhone, both models of which have been controversial because of reports of the Note 7 and the iPhone 7 exploding and/or catching fire.
In a Facebook Live update however, the rapper made a statement with regards the incident saying that he is 'alive and well' after the incident. He thanked his many fans and supporters for expressing concern after the mishap.
