Haircutting can be a nail-biting experience leaving one anxious over the outcome even whilst in the hands of an adept stylist. But one brave woman decided to let her partner give her a suitable fringe, and the result was "horrifying".
Amyleigh Weaver, 21, a make-up artist from Halifax, recently moved to a new area and was not sure where to get a haircut. So, she let her partner cut her fringe with an electric razor and left her looking like Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber!
Weaver claims she had entrusted the job to her 20-year-old partner because he seemed "very confident" in his ability to do it. Recalling the awkward incident, Weaver said: "I've just moved to the area so I didn't know where I should get my hair done. But my hair was getting long so I knew something had to be done."
She apparently had assumed it to be a simple task. "I only wanted my fringe done, so I decided that my boyfriend should cut my fringe until I could go to a proper hairdresser," Weaver was quoted as saying in Mirror.co.uk.
But when her partner uttered the word "sorry" post the haircut, Weaver said, "I ran to the bathroom mirror where I realised everything had gone wrong. I went mental when I saw my fringe." After the hilarious haircut, Weaver however decided to laugh it off.
In a similar incident of haircut gone wrong, a participant on a Turkish makeover show fainted on TV after a hairstylist cut off 12 inches of her long locks without her knowledge, reported Daily Mail.
