Lucky woman from Maryland, USA, had not anticipated that running errands for her father will win her a massive $2,25,000 in lottery prize. Vanessa Ward was asked by her father to go and buy a cabbage head. Simply following his order she went to the Giant Food Store in Groveton and bought her lucky scratch-off lottery ticket.
Ward told Virginia Lottery officials that while she was at the store she decided to try her luck without expecting to win. She bought a 'Win a Spin' scratch-off ticket at the store and headed home. The ticket could win Warn a chance to spin the wheel which could earn her anywhere between $100,000 and $500,000.
When Ward reached her home, she scratched the ticket and was surprised to discover that she had actually won the game's top prize 'a live spin on the Big Wheel'. Ward's lucky spin earned her $2,25,000 prize money which she plans to use wisely.
Ward, who lives in Temple Hills, said that a part of the prize money will go towards her retirement and she will take a much longed for trip to Disney World, reported NDTV.
