Users of the popular messaging app WhatsApp were unable to send New Year's greetings to their loved ones late Sunday evening after reports of a mystery outage.
According to the Independent, WhatsApp has stopped working for several users across the globe. Many of these users were unable to send or receive messages. The report mentions Down Detector detected the WhatsApp blackout in many parts of the world. The outage comes as the world welcomes 2018.
Several users around the world, including UAE residents took to Twitter say that they are facing issues with the app.
