To fight the odds of cold weather, reindeers are likely to delivery pizzas in Japan this winter.
Domino's is currently training reindeer to deliver pizzas in Japan's northernmost island of Hokkaido.
In a video posted by Domino's, employees are seen training the reindeer to carry the hotboxes on its back. However, the pizza box tumbles off the reindeer's back as it begins to run. The purpose of the initiate is to ensure fast pizza delivery during snowy winter.
"If the reindeer are properly trained they could run at speeds of up to 80 kmph. This would help deliver pizzas quicker than bikes in the snow," an employee of the Domino's says in the video.
The customer can track their orders using smart phones or computers as the reindeer will also have a GPS tracking device on them.
The company is also testing strapping the animals to sleighs for safer delivery of the orders.
