After heavy rainfall hit Brazil, flash floods ravaged several streets in Belo Horizonte with cars being swept away in overflowing streets. A dramatic video of several cars floating in the flooded streets is doing rounds on social media and reveals the scary condition of the city.
Cars in the 43 seconds long footage seem like toy vehicles banging into each other While being washed away in the floodwaters. At one point in the video, a floating car rams an electricity pole in the middle of the street and then is pulled away with the current of the water. The frightening video also captures the thunderous lightening as it continues to rain, with no human in sight.
According to Belo Horizonte's Civil Defense service, it rained up to 49 millimetres in just 20 minutes, reports Daily Mail as quoted in NDTV. The video has been widely circulated on Facebook with many taken aback by the flashfloods. One Facebook user wrote: 'Horror, my God. I hope nobody was inside these cars.' While another wrote: 'I hope no one got hurt.'
