Senior Adviser to Prime Minister on National Security Sartaj Aziz said on Friday that Pakistan is mulling to 'highlight' at the United Nations the issue of involvement of India's spy agency the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) involvement in acts of terrorism in Pakistan.
He said besides the UN Security Council, Pakistan will also use other international forums for this purpose.
Responding to question during the question hour session of the National Assembly, Sartaj said that Pakistan has taken up the issue of RAW's activities in Pakistan with various foreign leaders.
"The prime minister will also raise the issue of RAW's involvement in Pakistan at the UN General Assembly," he added. Sartaj said evidence of RAW's meddling in Pakistan was given to India's top leaders during meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi in Ufa, (Russia) in July.
He said that Pakistan's foreign secretary had raised the issue with his Indian counterpart during the foreign secretary-level talks held in March this year.
To a question, Sartaj said Pakistan is fully prepared to counter any outside aggression.
Replying to another question, the adviser said that the government has already condemned the recent terrorism incident which took place in India's Gurdaspur district.
He added Pakistan has rejected the Indian allegations regarding Gurdaspur attack. He said it has also been made clear that Pakistan has the capability to give a befitting reply in case of any threat from Indian side.
Sartaj also said that Kashmir issue must be resolved as per UN resolutions and that Kashmir is the core issue in Pak-India talks.
