It is a long way to go before the Qatar row is resolved to the satisfaction of the four states, the UAE said.
In a tweet, UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash said: "Addressing long term genuine grievances of the four states is at the heart of resolving Qatar's crisis; We are not there yet. That is the view from the Riyadh Summit."
This puts at rest the speculation over progress made in resolving the dispute at the Gulf Cooperation Council meeting held in Riyadh on Tuesday. Qatar Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Thani attended the summit and was received warmly by the Saudi Authorities. Observers noted the bonhomie and concluded that the Qatar boycott was nearing a solution
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt cut all diplomatic and transport ties with Qatar in June 2017.
The four nations accused Doha of backing radical Islamists, including the Muslim Brotherhood, and seeking closer ties with Iran.
