Contrary to the frantic rush, it was a rare sight on a Canadian airline flight as passengers patiently waited to exit in an orderly manner.
A video filmed by a passenger on one WestJet flight, shows everyone waiting in their seats for their turn to grab bags from the overhead lockers, reported Mirror.co.uk.
Darragh Doyle, who was on the plane, filmed the rare moment when passengers stood up row by row to collect their bags and leave the aircraft.
The short clip shows passengers at the front of the plane getting up first followed by others row-wise. Darragh's video went viral on Twitter as netizens posted surprised comments.
One Twitter user wrote: "Haha! What a difference! Here it's the absolute *second* the light goes off, everyone up out of the seats, necks cricked under the luggage racks... this is pure inspiration".
While there were some Twitter users who came up with better suggestions to make the exiting process even simpler.
One user suggested: "Am I being foolish or would it not be quicker for all the aisle seaters to go first, then all of the middles, and then the window seaters?"
