Karachi: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Karachi operation would continue until the last criminal is exterminated.
He was addressing the participants of the inauguration ceremony of Pakistan’s largest oil refinery in Hub.
Commenting on counter strategies against crimes in Karachi, the premier said that the arrested criminals should be brought to justice not within months but weeks.
He also said that the miscreants behind Safoora carnage have been caught and it is hoped that the courts would bring them to justice soon. Safoora incident depicts lack of courage and desperate tactics, he added.
Sharif said that terrorists do not deserve to be dealt with softly not even a bit of leniency.
“The Karachi Operation started in September, 2013 and it is still going on, and we intend to continue it until we eradicate terrorism from the country,” he added.
The premier noted that peace was important for the prosperity of the nation as well as for growth of the economy. With reference to the Karachi bus attack, Sharif said that all those responsible have been caught and “we are hopeful that our courts will do their job to bring justice.”
