A man was arrested for killing his three daughters while they were asleep in their beds in Saudi Arabia.
The 33-year-old father had entered their bedroom whilst under the influence of narcotics and stabbed the six, four and two year old girls with a knife. The crime was allegedly motivated by a domestic altercation, reported Al Arabiya.
The girls screams awoke their mother who was of African nationality. She ran into the street and sought help from their neighbors in Al Malawi district in Makkah.
The Uniform Operations Centre deployed a team, and with the help of a civilian, entered the building and arrested the perpetrator.
After suffering a nervous breakdown, the mother was admitted to King Faisal Hospital but was released on Sunday afternoon.
