Senior Leader of Pakistan Muslim League (PML)N, Arbab Khizer Hayat said on Thursday that hoisting of PML(N) flag on gate of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly is not a crime and if any action was taken against leaguers, they would also resort to hoist party flag on Chief Minister's House. Talking to media mens, Arbab Khizer Hayat opined that PML is a founding party on whose struggle and sacrifices Pakistan came into being and if its flag is hoisted on the gate of KP assembly, it is not a crime.
"The PML(N) workers have hoisted party's flag and not of India," he added. Tacking legal action against us reflects nervousness of provincial government, he added. Tacking notice of the incident, KP police have sought guidance from its legal branch before taking action against PML(N) members.
Arbab Khizer Hayat while strongly condemning police's intention of taking action against leaguers, termed it a vindictive approach of law enforcers. He said PML(N) workers had not attacked provincial assembly and accords great regard and respect for democratic institutions of the country.
He also made it clear that PML(N) members cannot be bowed down through threats of legal action as they are not afraid of being arrested or detained. Arbab Khizer Hayat said PML(N) members have the strength and courage to block entry of PTI chief, Imran Khan in KP, but they are barred by party leadership on whose indication they can take any action. He also announced that if PTI government take legal action against protesting PML(N) workers, he would be the first to present himself for the arrest.
