The number of people embracing the vegan way of life is on the rise, so it comes as no surprise that a number of people have gotten together to launch Vegan Community Day. Set to take place on May 5 at Rove Healthcare City, the event will be a chance to try some good food, meet like-minded people and learn more about what it means to be vegan. Starting at 11am, event-goers will get a chance to try yoga by the pool, tuck into a sumptuous buffet (for Dh99), listen to talks, watch demonstrations and buy a number of vegan products. Head over to City Walk this weekend to celebrate the third edition of the Matryoshka Festival (on until May 5). A fun-filled family event, the festival will bring a yarmarka (Russian market) to City Walk as well as a slew of fashion displays and entertainment.
