Authorities stepped in with an awareness campaign to maintain the beauty of Yas Beach recently.
The two-day campaign, a joint initiative by the Abu Dhabi City Municipality and the Abu Dhabi Police, targeted visitors of Yas Beach, including owners of caravans and tents, who were asked to remove them.
The campaign also intended to educate beachgoers about the health and safety measures ought to be observed in Abu Dhabi beaches in line with the municipality's principles.
The move stems out of the keenness of the municipal system to ensure the health and safety standards for visitors of Abu Dhabi beaches and other public facilities.
The campaign will pave way for a development project at the Yas Beach premises. The anticipated construction works are aimed to upgrade the beach conforming to the requirements of a comprehensive and sustainable development.
The municipality has held a meeting with Abu Dhabi Police (Yas Police Station), and Miral Asset Management Company to work out a comprehensive awareness campaign targeting beachgoers.
The campaign, which was run by Al Shahama Municipal Centre at the Yas Beach, Abu Dhabi City, included the distribution of brochures and leaflets about the standards and principles of maintaining the safety of beach visitors.
