An Emirati woman in Dubai has won a car worth Dh89,900 in the latest raffle draw of electronics retailer Sharaf DG.
The lucky winner, Batool Ilyasi, got to drive home a brand-new Peugeot 508 from the DG Friday Sale Raffle Promotion, which took place between November 23 and December 7. Thirty other customers were given prizes. Five of them won a chance to meet and greet famous musician Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan at Coca Cola Arena in Dubai on December 27, while 25 got six-month memberships at Cult Fit centres across the country.
All the winners were selected in a draw held recently at Sharaf DG Store in Dubai's Burjuman Mall, in the presence of an official from the Department of Economic Development.
During the DG Friday Sale, customers enjoyed discounts of up to 70 per cent on the latest smartphones, electronics, home appliances, as well as online-exclusive furniture, perfume and fashion merchandise.
With its footprints across the UAE, the retailer has extended the option for all customers to shop online and collect from their nearest Sharaf DG store.
Nilesh Khalkho, CEO of Sharaf DG, said: "Our omni-channel approach will convey an enhanced shopping experience, both online and across our stores in the UAE. This duly aligns with the holiday shopping for customers who seek top-tier brands at attractive prices. We are thankful to our partners at Swaidan Trading Co., Portfolio Managing Events, and Cult Fit for the support extended."
Greg Cottrell, general manager of automotive for Swaidan Trading, added: "We are pleased to partner with Sharaf DG to bring this exciting campaign to Dubai's residents, and I'm certain that the winner will be thrilled to receive the grand prize of a brand-new Peugeot 508." Swaidan Trading is the distributor of the French brand Peugeot in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
