Dubai Civil Defence put out a fire in a textiles shop in Karama on Tuesday.
The operation room of civil defence received information about the fire at around 10: 15am this morning, dispatching firefighters immediately to the scene by 10:22am.
The firefighters started battled the blaze which erupted on the mezzanine floor. Initially, firefighters faced difficulties in reaching the site of the fire in the narrow roads and exits of the area, but they managed to douse the blaze and prevent the fire from extending to nearby shops and a residential building.
The fire was brought under control by 12:15pm, followed by a cooling cooling operation.
The textile shop was gutted in the fire. Although no one was injured, but two firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation.
Forensic experts are investigating the cause of the fire.
