His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, celebrated Godolphin's two race wins in style at the Royal Ascot races on Saturday.
The horse racing enthusiast and champion equestrian himself celebrated his horse, Godolphin's Blue Point's win at the King's Stand stakes and Diamond Jubilee stakes - with a traditional Emirati dance as his entourage congratulated and cheered him on.
According to Godolphin, Blue Point made history to become the first horse since Choisir in 2003 to win two Royal Ascot races at the same meeting.
?? King's Stand StakesEarlier on Friday, the Middle East had reason to cheer with Daahyeh, owned by Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, a member of the Bahraini royal family, winning the Group 3 Albany Stakes for three-year-old fillies.
