A fire broke out in a car at Discovery Gardens on Friday afternoon.
The Al Barsha Civil Defence team received a tipoff at 1.38pm of the blaze. And at 1:39, firefighters arrived and found five cars simultaneously on fire, billowing with heavy smoke.
Police officials directed traffic and cordoned off the area.
Two cars were completed gutted in the blaze while the other three sustained minor damages.
Within half an hour, by 2.14pm, firefighters had quenched the blaze. No one was injured in the incident.
The scene was handed over to the concerned authorities to investigate the reason behind the vehicles catching fire.
