Malayalam film actor Dileep will inaugurate an outlet of his restaurant chain 'Dhe Puttu' at 7pm in Karama, Dubai today (Wednesday, November 29).
Dileep arrived in Dubai Tuesday afternoon, along with his mother, to launch the outlet that he co-owns with director Nadirshah.
The actor, who is out on bail after spending 85 days in jail in connection with the South Indian actress assault case, received special permission from the Kerala High Court to travel to Dubai for business purposes.
Dileep's friends, family, and fans received him at Dubai Airport early yesterday afternoon. Nadhirshah informed local media that the inauguration ceremony will be performed by the mothers of all seven partners of the restaurant. "Traditionally, all our restaurant chains are inaugurated by mothers of the partners of Dhe Puttu. We will be doing the same in Dubai, five of the seven moms will officially launch the restaurant here in Karama," Nadhirshah told reporters in a press meet yesterday.
However, UAE fans of the actor are eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of the star today. "I've been a big fan of his movies, and I'm eagerly waiting to see Dileep today. I have also visited Dhe Puttu in Kochi, but never got a chance to see the actor," said Nilesh Nair, a resident of Sharjah.
Another fan Hanifa V, said, "Though he is part of a big scandal involving an actress, I can see past that. I am very excited to learn that he is opening the restaurant in Dubai today. Planning on heading out there early to see him."
