Two young motorists were arrested for driving recklessly on one of the roads in the Capital.
The Abu Dhabi Police said they were nabbed on Friday after police patrol officers spotted them driving in a manner that "endangers the safety of other road users".
According to traffic authorities, reckless driving was among the major causes of fatal crashes in the country. Police warned drivers that irresponsible behaviour on the road are unacceptable.
The police have put in place smart systems to monitor and catch violators. They have warned that penalties will be imposed on those flouting rules. Motorists have been asked to pay attention on the roads.
