Two Africans received serious injuries after the gas extension pipes in an apartment in Abu Shagarah, Sharjah exploded early morning on Sunday.
According to a civil defence official, the Operations Room received a call at 2.55am, reporting the incident.
Firefighters from Samnan and Al Mina fire stations reached the site in short time and doused the fire. The official said kitchen of the apartment and glasses of the building were damaged in the explosion. The police ambulance rushed the injured to Kuwaiti hospital and referred the site to forensic officials for investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
