How to make the most of your Friday and Saturday. Khaleej Times recommends...
Play night
Renowned Indian actor and playwright Manav Kaul's classic play Chuhal will be staged in Dubai on August 30 by Dawn Theatre Productions. Chuhal is the story of two strangers who fall in love despite their contrasting personalities and ideas of a happy ending. It is a journey of discovering oneself and your chosen one. Featuring Saif Khan and Saadia Pathan, it's on at 4.30pm & 7.30pm at The Junction, Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz. Tickets are Dh60.
Teachers unite
Mr Miyagi's is welcoming teachers back in style with two 'Pho-nominal' BOGOF offers: buy-one-get-one-free on absolutely everything between 4pm - 8pm tonight. As if that wasn't enough there is also BOGOF on the Wok & Roll Brunch from 8pm - 11pm.
Fashion this
Gaurang Shah and Kishandas & Co will be in Dubai to present their latest festive collection Navras this weekend. Shah will showcase his signature hand-woven textiles alongside heritage jewellery on August 30 & 31 at Taj Dubai presented by Numaish. The Trunk Show will run from 11am to 7pm on both days.
Kids eat free
As back-to-school shopping kicks into full gear, family-favourite Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has got you covered with an offer for which your wallet will be thankful. From now until September 7, kids eat free at Freddy's Mall of the Emirates branch.

Festive feeling
Bazm-E-Urdu Dubai is celebrating the birth centenary of Urdu poet and lyricist Kaifi Azmi with Mehfil-E-Urdu 2019, tonight at 8pm at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Oud Metha. The event will be decorated with stars including Shabana Azmi, Kanwaljit Singh, Tanvi Azmi and Irshad Kamil.
Water fiesta
The ultimate Pinoy party is set to return to Laguna Waterpark this weekend, offering after-dark access to Dubai's hippest park with prices starting from Dh49. The attraction in La Mer will be hosting the Kabayan Festival on Friday and Saturday and welcomes everyone to soak up the greatest fiesta atmosphere at a 60% discount.
Wet Deck day
If you need a remedy to face the new week, head down to WET Deck at W Dubai - The Palm for a different and extended waltz with the weekend. Not Another Ladies' Day is more than just an afternoon by the pool. It's a glam way to show the Sunday scaries who's boss and a great way to unwind. It's on this Saturday from 12pm to 4pm.
