With purity and transparency at the core of its business ethic, PNG Jewellers Pvt. Ltd has established itself as an important player in the UAE. The company opened its first store in Dubai in February 2015.
"At PNG Jewellers, we specialise in gold necklaces, bangles, vedhanis, chains, mangalsutras, earrings, rings, etc., apart from our collection of polki, jadau, uncut diamonds and traditional Maharashtrian jewellery. Our beautifully designed certified diamond jewellery has become very popular in Dubai and beyond," Paresh Gondkar, CEO - Middle East, PNG Jewellers, told Khaleej Times.
Established in 1958 by Shri Dajikaka Gadgil in Pune, PNG Jewellers has achieved milestones throughout its journey by marking its own identity, not just in India but also globally with more than 25 showrooms including the UAE and US.
Capturing the imagination of more than 100 million customers with its stunning range of collections from ethnic, intricate and heavy jewellery to chic and delicate contemporary designs, PNG Jewellers sees an annual turnover of about Rs2,000 crore. The brand employs more than 1,800 people.
"This Diwali we unveil our 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' collection, specially designed and handcrafted by PNG Jewellers, which will be a treat of heritage from the backdrop of royals from Rajasthan. Apart from that we are introducing an exclusive 'Royal Offer' which includes promotions of free diamond jewellery, gold coins, Salman Khan limited edition silver coins and assured gifts on buying any items from PNG Jewellers," Gondkar revealed.
At PNG Jewellery each item is carefully handcrafted and designed based on the customer's needs. "Our in-house designers meticulously handcraft each masterpiece with precision that gives us an upper hand in the market. And to keep up with the cutthroat business competition in this ever-evolving market, PNG has realised customer's requirements and their need to feel exclusive at all times. PNG has introduced Bollywood-inspired jewellery for those looking for something different and something special for themselves," he noted.
According to Saurabh Gadgil, Chairman and Managing Director of the PNG Group, "We have forayed into branded silver jewellery under the 'Silvostyle' brand and for this, we have tied up with fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani, who is also known for his incredible work in reincarnating the fashion scene in India."
Seeing huge potential in the diamond jewellery market, PNG Jewellers have diversified into this sector by opening a plush new 4,000-square-feet Gadgil Diamond Factory in Andheri, Mumbai, India. The factory has a capacity to produce approximately 5,000 pieces of diamonds and precious stones per month. The company is investing Rs250 crore for the expansion.
After successfully tapping into the Dubai market with their first store, PNG Jewellers are now looking forward to expand their horizon by opening one more outlet in Dubai and another in Abu Dhabi.
According to Gadgil, "We have been very lucky with our successful endeavour in Dubai with our first store and we look forward to opening two more stores in the UAE. We have also forayed into branded silver and designing the ornaments."
PNG Jewellers recently bagged three awards at the National Award for Jewellery under the 'Silvostyle' brand. "The award ceremony was hosted by the World Marketing Congress and supported by CMO Asia. The award ceremony marked the great achievements of the brand under the categories 'Emerging Brand Award' for achieving astonishing heights, 'Brand Revitalisation Award' for keen acumen into marketing advances and strategic alliances and 'Award for Marketing Excellence in Gems and Jewellery Sector' for the enormous contributions of the brand in the gems and jewellery industry," Gondkar concluded.
