More Ajman businesses will be allowed to resume economic activities from Sunday (May 31), it has been announced.
This has been confirmed under ''Guidelines and Protocols for Reopening of Economic Activities'', the Department of Economic Development in Ajman (DED-Ajman) said.
Cinemas, gyms, fitness clubs, children's saloons as well as valet parking and car-washing service can resume at 50 per cent of their total capacity with strict prohibition of gatherings.
The retail and wholesale sectors can also resume by operating at 70 per cent of their total capacity while employee capacity is increased to 70 per cent.
The "Guidelines and Protocols for Reopening of Economic Activities" cites all the precautions and preventive measures to limit the spread of Covid-19.
The guidelines have been announced in advance of Sunday to ensure businesses are prepared and ready to resume and fully understand the guidance and advice issued.
According to the protocols, people over 60 and children under 12 will be allowed to visit health centres and clinics insides retail centres, provided that they make pre-appointment date, are accompanied by an adult and inform security men.
Valet parking services will be provided in designated places, including malls and hotels, following implementation of preventive and precautionary measures by employees.
Employees of these establishments who return from abroad should adhere to self-quarantining protocols and conduct a Covid-19 test before they resume work.
DED-Ajman called for establishments to adhere to previous Guidelines and Protocols during the period of the National Disinfection Programme, use temperature scanners to test employees and visitors, provide hand sanitisers and maintain social distancing (two metres).
The "Guidelines & Protocols for Reopening of Economic Activities" aim to ensure the safety and health of community and avoid the disruption of efforts to confront coronavirus.
