As many as 347 traffic violations were recorded by radars in a week on Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road according to the Sharjah Police. The police have warned that drivers tend to commit more violations especially on highways. They do not abide by the traffic laws and speed limits thereby endangering the lives of other road users, they added.
The violations included overtaking from the wrong side, not abiding by lane discipline and traffic obstruction in addition to speeding.
